Do you have a NMEA starter kit installed or are you trying to connect the sonic hub directly into your unit? You need a NMEA backbone setup to use NMEA accessories. Below is a picture of the NMEA starter kit.

I think this is my problem, I was asking about it in post 8.

I was hooking the Sonic Hub directly to the HDS unit

Hopefully Fleet Farm will have this starter kit

Yes you need this to start. The NMEA backbone also needs power and any NMEA accesories can "tee" off of the backbone. Here's the install manual for the NMEA kit to get you started.

Thanks a lot.
None of the local stores had one, Cabelas is backordered but I was able to order a kit from TigerGPS. Should be here in a couple days
