Yes, it simply needs balanced. Go to YouTube and do a search as I mentioned before there's quite a few videos to choose from.

Fans should have a correct cieling fan electrical box mount and not just a cieling light fixture box. If the box is not secure it will not hold the fan steady. There are retrofit boxes you can install from inside the room. Look at your hardware store. There are other boxes that you would need to install from the attic side.
I have seen several different attachment methods so cant give you specific details. The rod should hang straight down, use a level to check. Also see if there is a way to tension the rod to hold it in place. |

I plan on trying the advice given here, just haven't had a chance to do it yet, one of my dogs is in an emergency hospital (as opposed to a regular veterinary hosp) diagnosed with diabetes, pancreatis, and blood cell counts off the charts. When I get time I'll try your suggestions. Thank you.
