Default SI and motor?

Just curious, on the SI units, doesn't the lower units block out a bunch of area??

Must be missing something here.

Al, if it is in the wrong place and the motor is tilted all the way down then yes, it can block the SI.

Thanks Wade, I'm having a little trouble finding the install manual or something that shows where the transducer should be mounted, the manual has a template for drilling the holes, but if it has suggestions for where on the boat/transom to put it, I'm missing it.

Found it..looks like the motor will block it a bit but evedently not enough to bother much ??
