i noticed this when i was changing the bearings , the bearings comes off with light tap from a hammer . should i be worried

If it were me, I would change out the spindle.

Talking to some guys at work they said not to worry because u can't hurt ur bearrings they said smooth it out until the bearing slides on freely
|

Axles are cheap, Boats are expensive.
I would put a new axle in. |

now that you have said that, it probably would be best to replace it as the others have suggested.
