I've been looking at Pro Guides lately 2010 or 1825.I'm an old time tiller guy.I was wondering if anyone was running this boat with either a 115 Optimax or 115 4 Stroke on it? If so how is it's performance? Thanks

If you find out btmbncr - I'd like to know too.
I'm sure it would be propped to troll well. Like mentioned, I wonder how much of that performance information posted on the test sites will go away once the boat is loaded with fishing gear etc. It's an interesting setup, but on the downside, the difference in price between a 115 and a 150, 175, 200 hp is not all that much, so it's still pretty close to the price of a bigger motor. |

My 1725 Pro Guide/115 Optimax does 43mph,2 guys, full live wells and full tank.Empty wells, half tank and 2 guys = 46mph 13x19 AL prop. The break in period is almost up.Going to put a 13x18 Vengeance SS prop on it.The 2010/115 would be way under powered once you load the boat.Spend the extra $$$ on a bigger engine, you won't be sorry.

THere is a guy that fishes on my lake with a 2010 Pro Guide and a 135. I don't know how he has things set up, but his boat sure plows water, (his spray starts right at the bow). Usually on lunds, they tend to have the spray starting way back.
