Be sure to bring along your huge golfing umbrella that you can tie to a rod holder to give you shade.

I have a 200HP Verado on a Ranger 620T with a 19 pitch Temptest and do about 2.2-2.3 foward at 550 RPM's. I've deployed 2 methods to slow down:

1. Drop my Vantage and put on speed 2-3 in reverse if it's calm.

2. Run a 40" Wavetamer Bag of each side if it's rough as Perchjerker said. Can go any speed I want with this method.

Hope that helps,

Default slow

I have the 175 vrod and can get down to .3 without any additional gadgets. Two of them actually mounted on my Boston Whaler 240 Outrage. (.3 running just one motor)

Been awhile since I have been on, but I did check the motor. It was rough out that day, so I had two numbers, going with the waves at 3.02 mph and against at 1.89 SOG. So I would guess on flat calm, around 2.5. I mis-spoke.
