Default Lowrance LMS 522 Network

I have a Lowrance LMS 522 on My 2007 Lund Explorer tiller with a 2008 75 HP Evinrude E-TEC. My E-TEC is networked into the Lowrance. I just installed a Memory Module to the "Backbone" (BRP P/N 0764181) I have connected the memory module's Tee into the network hoping to be able to input into the 522, the amount of fuel purchased and then be able to monitor how many galons of fuel remaining from the LMS 522, just as I monitor my E-TEC's info from the EMM on the 522. I go into the bus set up page and re-configure my tank size from 0 to 27 galons and save it When I turn the Lowrance off and then restart the Lowrance the unit shows the tank size as zero. Anyone have an Idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you all in advance.
Jim

Sounds like a call to Lowrance. But the 522 is past "obsolescence" in their world. (yes, I have one too!) I'm betting that it was never designed to recognize the memory module. They do (did) sell their own fuel flow accessory, which works just like you describe. It's the only way on my boat I have any clue as to how much fuel is remaining - the built in gauge in the boat is worthless. Good luck!
