Default River Eyes?

Whats your favorite approach to a murky river this time of year? I've fished the river, but never concentrated on walleye. I'm allowed two rods, probably have one out for cats. Other trying for walleye. A guy we were fishing with caught a 10lber on a chunk of cut goldeye fishing for cats. Maybe ill get as lucky ;-).

I'm going to tie up a couple spinners, was thinking of using a larger blade and hook. Thinking the larger hook won't be an issue with visibility and the blade will throw off a little more vibration?

Spinners and cranks fished very close to the bottom are good bets. Use larger Colorado blades and rattling cranks. Hit the current breaks.

Good luck!

Where a a line of rapids empties into a large relatively deep pool is the best place in my experience to catch walleye in murky water. I usually use live bait, especially minnows, but if not I love cabelas aquaglow, as well as spinners, which I cast upstream so it looks as if prey is falling from the rapids.
