I have a question that may be a little stupid but I'm going to ask it anyway. I have a 2005 Mr. Pike 16. Just got back from a trip, my boat was on the water for the entire trip. I would pull my plug on my front livewell and it would drain as it sat at the dock. Was wondering how that water is able to leave the boat at a stand still? The last time I drained it was when I loaded the boat. I could here the water falling from the livewell. Does it leave the boat through the little screen "bonnet" that is mounted low and to the right on the outside of the transom? Just curious. Its awesome to not have to pump it and always start with fresh water.

Your drain is on the other side (left) of the plug, the other hole with your screen is your intake.

The bottom level of the live well is above the lake water level, so it is able to drain sitting in the water.

This is correct. Water is lazy and seeks its own level, as long as the lake level is lower than the bottom of the livewell it will drain.
