Agreed. Mine dropped by about 15K since they made the change. Was going to sell mine soon, and wondering if that kinda kills the deal.

If I remember correctly the report in February 2011 required me to add like $8700 for the Yamaha F150 and $1700 for the single axle trailer.
The reason I know this is the bank gave me an NADA price that seemed way low to me so I looked at it myself. Immediately, I saw where the Lady failed to add for the motor and trailer. I freaked when she told me I was upside down in my loan and knew that was bull. I looked at it again the first of this year when I was considering selling and it was holding its value. Now those numbers have converged after the change in the way they figure their price.

I have checked value of my boat for years and it had * near model, meaning the value was for the package, which included 175 eng. However according to what I have been told here, that NADA is low and that price for selling Ranger is higher.

I have few marks on boat, so have to take off some for that, boat in B+ or A- shape, hrs are not bad, around 400. I take care of it ,but I do use it and enjoy.

In this market, I have found that 80% of low NADA is about what you can actually sell the average boat for. That is not including extras like fish finders, etc. that really add no value unless they are only a year or two old. Good luck, pricing a bit high (10%) or so to start would give you a bit of negotiating room. If the seller is financing, his bank will likely only give him 80% of what they decide the value is, anything else is out of pocket. Rangers are nice, but older ones really do not have a super premium (at least in bass boats) over any other good brand.

Default North

Scott,

You need to come north to sell your boat. Prices in the upper midwest are bringing premiums.

Well I did drive as far as Mankato the last time I bought one. He must have been using NADA without both motors and the trailer plugged in. Just one of those special days for me I guess.
