Most likely you'll have to try and find someone that has a "used" one they'd like to sell as Lakemaster no longer supports Lowrance! When you do find one, you'll also need to make sure and (for lack of a better word or expression) "de-version) your HDS to version 4.0 or prior version as the LM cards will not run on an HDS with Version 4.1! I'd actually suggest taking a look at the new Lake Insight HD cards now available from Lowrance which include LOTW & Rainy in high def and one foot contours,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, way better than the Navionics and LM! I heard tell just this past week that they finally released it but have not had the opportunity to go get one! My used LM card for LOTW/Rainey is already spoken for, otherwise I'd have it posted on the Swap Forum!
Good luck!!

With the Lakemaster LOTW/Rainy chips there are some issues. Many people, including myself had problems with just driving along and the HDS would just reboot, but only at certain ares of LOTW. I called Lakemaster and of course was told it was a Lowrance problem. In the end and after three versions of their chip, it is at least better. So, it seems to me that it matters more what version of chip you get as compared to the whether you have Lowrance version 4.0 or 4.1. The LM card I have ran on both 4.0 and 4.1.
But I will agree with Hawker, the new Lowrance Insight Pro chip looks good. I have been using it for a few weeks in the Southern Wisconsin area and will try it out in a week and a half up at LOTW. The zoom in and zoom out's are much faster than the Lakemaster and the details of the contours look good. So I am looking for good things out of that chip as well as the HD chip which has just started shipping.

I had the opportunity to look over the 2012 Lowrance Insight Pro chip at a sportingoods store yesterday. I fish a lot on the Canadian side of LOW in the Morson, Sabaskong and Little Traverse areas. I have the Lakemaster Contour Pro (2008) for that area and have printed out maps of many of the reefs I fish. Most of the contour images on the Insight Pro were identical to my paper maps and some even showed more detail. I suspect that is because Lowrance got ahold of some data that was more up to date than my now older Contour Pro software. Anyway, it looked plenty good for my picky nature! I would expect that the Insight HD chip would have the same contours.
I wasn't very impressed by what I saw on the chip for small to mid-sized Minnesota lakes, however. The maps seemed even poorer than the public domain stuff you can print off the MN DNR website. I can't quite understand that. They shouldn't be poorer than free! The bigger lakes in High Definition were good (i.e. Leech, Winnie, Cass, etc.). Also Patrick, be careful what year of used LOW Lakemaster chip you get. I have a 2009 Woods Rainy chip that I have tried in 5-6 HDS Gen 2 units in stores as well as a couple of Doc Sampsons Gen 2 units at one of his classes. It wouldn't open up on any of them (Doc didn't have any suggestions either because he claims to have opened 15-20 others with no problem-just my luck!). It still works great in my old LCX 17M though! I suspect that the Lakemaster chips you hear about being used on HDS units are 2010 or 2011 versions and sometimes on HDS Gen1s. I have no personal experience with those, however.
