Red face 360

Enjoy the 1198..
For $2k I don't think I'll be doing 360, but then again I didn't expect Scheels in Fargo to price-match the 1198c SI for $450.00 lower either....

Actually my add-ons on my boat or worth 3x what my boat is already. I should actually sell some of my old stuff but my Otter 1200 duck boat is getting pretty cool for the river too....Anyone ever install a bow mount 80lb 60" shaft with co-pilot on one My 74 lb on the rear mount is a little touchy to handle in current.

On another note I did pick up an 8.2lb 29" walleye in the river while shore fishing the other day after lunching my lower unit on a rock pile on the lake...

Me too. It only makes sense that the next step with the iPilot would be for it to 'talk' to a Humminbird graph. Both companies are under the say parent company so I'm sure they have been working on something like this. To be able to record tracks or anchor points saved on your graph would be pretty cool. This should allow for many more options when saving instead of the 6 tracks the latest iPilot can store.

That would make the track feature much more friendly, but the rumor I heard was you'll need a deep wallet to add to your existing Ipilot set up.

I-Pilot Link coming out this week. Allows the I-Pilot trolling motor to communicate with the H'bird ethernet units for $800.

Talking Got it, tried it, love it!!

Got the 1198c SI mounted & used it for a day this week. I'm nothing short of completely impressed. 1st lake was at night and I wasn't seeing anything great. But, went to ND the second day & could find & run the 58 yr old flooded river channel & see all the tree stumps left at 28'. Realized the entire lake was swarming with crappies to 13" and could tell my wife when she should get them on a #4 Salmo hornet & like magic, Bam she'd get them. I was running one deeper with lead and we picked up our limit of 14 - 19" walleyes for lunch as well as a dozen crappies we kept out of roughly 75 caught. What a great start! I can't wait to get back out and use it more. It's real easy to understand especially after watching http://www.jasonhalfenoutdoors.com/HumminbirdIndex.html .

Default Snapshots

Is anyone aware of a thread with SI snapshots? I'd like to look at some to compare and have others critique mine. Here's 1 of my 1'sts.

Nice initial capture!

Keeping the wife on fish, and explaining how this new technology helps, makes things easier down the line when it comes to new hardware..

I'd shut the range lines off, but thats just me. Something more to look thru, that isnt needed..

Keep the SI enhance to Off, or Low for now.

If youre a new user, reduce your SI range for seeing fish.... until you get good enough at reading it. then you can widen it out.

Dont use the zoom feature unless you have to. Simply move the SI view to the left or right side to give a 2x zoom full screen..

PM sent..

Default Another Humminbird success

Finally, with the help of my 1198c SI Hummingbird, a couple hr limit from Big C.

(1) 23"
(5) 18 - 20"

Only 1 over 20" allowed in MN.

I'm REALLY getting to like this thing!! It has definitely helped!!
