My power tilt on my Yamaha t8 is not working, it moves very little when the switch is first pushed. All I know is that it has moved it just doesnt go very far at a time...So Im fairly confident that any fuses for it are good, and the switch must be good, because it did move, just intermently. Has anyone had this happen where its the motor or can the brushes in the motor be rebuilt or is it just a wiring issue that I can look for a loose connection

I have had the wires that go to the tilt motor break where they come out of the head going to the tilt motor.

Did you check the hydraulic fluid level in the pump?

No, like I said it went down very slow when I got to my fishing spot, and I was going to move to another area, and when I went to raise it, it rose like an inch every time I hit the switch...So Im thinking the fuse has to be good and the switch has to be good...just wondering if anyone has experienced this...Im calling some dealers today to get an idea

Long shot but if it has it's own battery that could be causing the problem if it's low on volts.

My 2004 T8 did the same thing and it took a new power trim motor. Water got in the original motor and wrecked it. Very spendy too.
