On my 1800 SC I want to rig a bow mount sonar
run the wires back to under the dash... Should I stick them to start in behind that switch/plug panel that is in the bow. I dont want to drill any holes in the floor etc. Also had a lookunder the dash ...what a mess ... planning on plugging it in where the dash sonar is plugged in...X17.. all suggestions greatly accepted Thnx DMA |

I don't use the courtesy lights so wired my front sonar there, no chasing/pulling wires, just remember to trun on the courtesy light switch!

If you look somewhere and see a mesa and don't like it - clean it up. If the wiring under the dash is a mess and troubling to you - pull it out and rewire it. Generally speaking when ever wring a bow mounted "anything" you can normally run any wires to the bow under the gunnel of the boat. Since the Warrior may have sealed gunnels and sides, it may be necessary to install an 'inspection hatch" or two to accommodate the installation. http://www.cabelas.com/product/T-H-M...h-All+Products When my glass boat was new and I wanted to install items in inaccessible locations in the boat, I just installed one of these inspection plates in the gunnel of the boat. I believe that I installed 3 of them in various parts of the boat to be able to easily take care of the installations. They install very easily - look like part of the original boat and are 100% watertight. REW |
