Another excellent week of fishing here in western Minnesota! Fished a bass tourney on Lake Reno today and had a good catch and a 3rd place finish with 5-fish weighing 14.83 pounds. We caught most of our fish on Jungle Jigs pitched to pencil reeds. We also caught several walleyes and northern pike casting Live Target crankbaits to weedlines on Reno while pre-fishing, and saw several walleyes caught by anglers pulling bottom bouncers and spinners.. Guide clients and I also pulled Slick-Stick bottom bouncers and spinners on a small area lake for walleyes with very good results. These fish were holding in 6- to 10-feet on the tip of a hard bottom point. This has been one of the better fishing years in recent memory for several species of fish, so get out and enjoy the nice weather and good fishing action!
