Default Lake Pepin, MN Report

Fished Friday and Saturday, caught many small walleyes <16" and only 2 over 16". Caught every fish possible from northern, bluegill, crappie, sm and largemouth bass, snake head, catfish. Fun trip but didn't get into any good size ones nor did we see any big fish get caught.

Fishing was best over gravel across from Lake City. Find bait fish at 20' and move to 8-15' to find biter walleyes. Fish wanted flickers blue/chrome and Reef runner rip shads in white trolled at 2-2.5mph. Most fish were caught in the 10' range off points or on flats next to points.

Also had good luck on spinners at 1mph worms and leeches both worked. Got a very mixed bag, about everything bit both worms and leeches so that was fun.

Are you sure it was a Snakehead? Perhaps a Bowfin instead?
