Before I really get into duck season, around the first week of November, i'd like to get one last great walleye trip in. Any suggestions on time and place? I'm not interested in #'s, but big fish, > 20inches that i can keep a few of. Willing to travel within 8hours of des Moines Iowa. Thanks for the tips. Nate

Lake Erie
We have been attending the get together in late october, out of Huron for the past few years. Great time and great fishing. |

Devils Lake fall walleyes can be big. 6-10 lbers.
Missouri River in ND & SD. I think Red Wing puts out some big fall fish Pine Falls Manitoba. Mille Lacs has some nice fish in the 24-28 range that are a dime a dozen and easy to catch. Need to release but fun.

I like the devils lake idea. Maybe even do some duck hunting on the same trip. Thanks for the ideas this far.
I just planted the idea to head to Green Bay/Milwaukee for a "getaway" trip with my wife. Alterior motives? Yes! She'll really have a weird look on her face when I hook the boat up! |
