I have decided to go with the lorance sonic hub. If you were not going to use the LWX-1 weather module and only wanted Sirus radio could you use another antenna such as a SHAKESPEARE
Galaxy SRA-40 Low Profile Sirius Satellite Radio Antenna. Also what type of marine AM/TM antenna is every one using. Thank you, Kipawa |

The LWX1 is the sat antenna.....its the one you use. I use the weather but not the radio. I don't listen to radio when i fish. When you call Sirius tell them what you want to activate and in 5 min you are done.

I think you are asking about Sirius Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service. The antenna you specify is just that: an antenna and only an antenna. It is not a Sirius Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service receiver. You will need to purchase a Sirius Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service receiver if you wish to receive Sirius Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service. You also have to purchase a subscription and have your receiver authorized for your level of service.

You need a receiver and antenna, just go with the LWX-1, then if you ever wanted to add weather your good to go. They are on sale at Cabela's for $99.99.
