Default Idea for Bird and Lakemaster

Wouldn't it be a good idea for Bird/Lakemaster to have a function in each users Units to record depth and location every few seconds and allow user to connect to site and automatically update their info? Therefore using each Humminbird owner as an info gathering machine. I can't help but think what an amazing untapped resource this is.

Include the "reported keel" offset in the transmitted datastream.

Wouldn't take but a few data points from a boat with a known offset to adjust the whole database for that lake, then.

of course, make sure it uploads all the waypoints that you save with a "fish" icon, so everyone knows your spots. Might as well send the "skull & crossbones" ones too, that I use to mark those stumps or boulders just under the surface,,,,,,,,,

Waypoints were not at all the intention of my suggestion. Simply depth and location gathered every few seconds and saved in a separate file then uploaded when you connect to a specific location on Hummingbirds website.
