Default Pro V: From full windshield to double bubble?

Just curious... My 1875 Pro V current sports a full, walk-through windshield set up. It appears that all the would be needed for a double bubble conversion would be the bubbles and mounting hardware.

Is this conversion possible without major surgery?

I have a 1900 pro v with double bubbles and inquired into getting a windshield to replace my current set up.They (LUND) said my consoles would have to be replaced and it sounded like a lot of money. To bad we cant trade nothing is that easy

I to wondered if that could be done. Don't think you would have to have the the whole console, But just the top plastic part and then the bubbles.

I'm not even sure the plastic tops would need replacing. Mine appear to have an "extra" very distinct contour. I'll have to drop by my dealer tomorrow and do a little covert recon. LOL!!

I asked this exact question when I picked up my 1875. I was wondering if in the future I ever decided to change it. My dealer had one with the bubbles in the same building and mine had the windshield, sitting side by side he should me how the consoles are totally molded different for the two. Can't be done. You would have to totally change out everything.

Any shop that fabricates lexan parts can make you custom windshield bubbles, I had a custom one made for my motorcycle for less than the factory replacement part.

There is three shops in my city that do this, it's not that hard even to do at home for small parts. I can only imagine what the price is for a marine bubble windshield...the motorcycle price was ridiculous.

Pick up the yellow pages, I'm willing to bet it will be cheaper to have one made that fits your existing console than to just buy the bubbles from Lund.

You can simulate the double bubble and spend no money.

Just remove the center door from your windshield, and you now have two separate windshields in your boat.
