Default Am slots for FLW Bays De Noc

Anyone know if there are any amateur spots open? I see that the registration deposit deadline has passed.

I think my dad is 12th on the waiting list and he was told that back before the Red Wing Tournament, still hasn't been notified he made it yet.

Frustrating... the tourney is less than 2 weeks away now. There haven't been 12 pros that have registered in the last 3 months???

Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and registered last night and called today. They said I was number 20 on the waiting list. They stated at this time there were 83 pros signed up and they hoped to get at least 20 more (there were apparently 103 pros at the last event).

Hope I get to go and see you there!

Maybe some of the Pros fishing the AIM in Oconto will decide to move up to Escanaba for next week. But since the tourneys are back to back, that is a long time to be on road, nearly 3 weeks, and may have kept some from fishing both.

Registratrion stay's open until the night of the rules meeting, look at the FLW site for information (http://www.flwoutdoors.com/walleyefi...e-noc-details/). Their will be some locals that will jump in at the last minute, there always is. I would figure the amount of pro's should get close to 100.

Just wondering why their are so many more co-anglers than pros at these tournaments? It would seem that increasing the number of pros would be a priority. What do you think needs to be done to get more pros signed up?
Is it the payouts versus the expenses?
Is it too stiff of competition?
Is it poor site choices?

Default Economy

I think that a lot of it is the economy right now. Entry fees on the pro side are substantially higher than on the Co side, and when you factor in all of the expenses (pre-fishing, fuel, meals and lodging, gear, etc.) it gets awfully pricey. There are just not as many people that can afford it right now.
