Thoughts and prayers go to the victims and their families.

I can't even rationalize or fathom any motivation for such an act ...
Prayers to all family members and the victims.

They have the shooter in custody. What I'll be waiting to hear is whether this guy had been on pyschoactive drugs, like the Columbine shooters and the guy who did a bunch of kililng in Virginia some years back.

Prayers go out to the victims families.

I've said it before when these things happen and I'll say it again. I wish the media would not publish either the shooters name or photo. Many times these people are just trying to get "famous" and get their faces and names on the TV and front pages. Let them rot in **** knowing that nobody knows them or really cares who they were. :deadhorse:

On a side note, and not to place blame but...............what is a 6 year old kid doing at a mid-might movie screening?

A horrible crime, and it will be interesting to see if the shooter's motivation or reasons can be determined.

A news story quotes a police officer as saying that there is no known link between this act and terrorism. But isn't this act by definition terrorism? It's as if no one wants to acknowledge that terrorism exists in this country and to some extent always has.

I suppose it depends on how one chooses to define terrorism.

Classic case of "innocent bystanders".

My guess is this guy's motivation is the typical "I want my 15 minutes of fame".
