Default Crestliner Owners

I have a 2002 Crestliner Sportfish 1850 with the smart gauges on my boat. My boat has a analog rpm gauge and an analog speedometer gauge. Within those gauges are my smart gauages that tell me lots about my boat. My rpm gauge works but my analog (needle) speedometer does not.

Is this just how it is or is there something wrong with my speedometer gauge? If so, any ideas of how to fix? I just changed my water pump and my (what i think is my speedo tube like is was on my old boat) speedo tube is and was hooked up.

Any help appreciated.

Do you get alarm like "CHECK PITOT"? That refers to the hole in the front of the lower unit that the engine uses to determine boat speed. You may have done something to it when you changed the water pump.

The Smartcraft gauges can be set up to use GPS speed info too or even a paddlewheel.

You can find a manual on mercurymarine.com

I had this issue even before I changed the water pump. Do you have a link for the mercury manual?? I would certainly appreciate it.

Default Do you have hand pump

I used harbor freight red hand pump to clear my line. Just attach to some part of hose that connects to speedo. One pump mine cleared. Very common thing to have happen

Here is Installation Manual:

They are not the best, but better than nothing.
