Navionics App?

Does this turn your smart phone into a GPS on the water? Waypoints, etc?

I fish mostly the Longville, MN area and think this could be really cool for the some of the lakes. Just curious if others have them and how they work and like them?

This would be for an iphone if that matters.

I have it on my IPhone and it's just like having the gps mapping unit on the boat in the palm of my hand. What you see on your boat's gps is what you see on your phone.

Waypoints, tracking, depths, buoys, etc. It's all there.

Worth every penny.

Just want to make sure I buy the right one.

I use it for ice fishing. Works great when I am trying to find a certain spot.

I have the i-phone version for $9.99....works just like Juls says. Best $10 I ever spent!

I bought the 14.99 one for my droid and its awesome. Ive used it on some smaller rivers in the jon boat and it works like a champ.

I have the 14.99 one, because it includes the Canadian side of Erie. I'm not sure what the 9.99 version has.

the 9.99 one includes US only. I love mine. Check out the free articles you can download thru the Navionics app. (iPhone in my case- not sure about others)

Can you import waypoints? Specifically from a Lowrance unit?

You can only put them in manually as far as I know.

Click on the magnifying glass in the top left corner.

Then click on the Lat/Long button (blue) at the top right corner.

There you can input the coordinates.
