Yes, I bought out a distributor in the late 70's all they had for 88 cents a piece. I sold many dozens and lost many. These were the balsa ones that came with 2 lips. A shallow & a deep. The last couple I have are my "Go TO" lures but I don't want to lose them. I've used the new style too and they work OK but I've since discovered Salmo hornets and really like them now. I try to let the fish tell me what they like but trial & error.

They were the Balsa body and you unscrewed the front treble & changed lips for depth. I sponsored a fishing seminar in Jamestown ND in the late 70's in the Holiday Inn where they let speaker Dan Nelson & I show people how to tune them in the swimming pool. Was a great time but many were still reluctant to use crankbaits for walleyes even though we were just smoking them out of the weeds in Devils Lake & getting 10 lbers in 3-4 ft in Sakakawea. Awww...the memories of sub $1 gal gas.
