Default Color blind?

I'm color blind, and what a PIA it can be when looking at weather charts etc. I recently found a link on the National Weather Service page for help with color blindness. Seems to have helped me. http://www.ryobi-sol.co.jp/visolve/en/ Give it a try.
Now if only there was a way to use it when trouble shooting an electronics problem and the fellow on the help desk asks you what color light is lit! A gazzilion products are made today that require color perception, yet I don't see any help for people that are handicapped with color blindness. The ATM's at drive in backs have braille on them, but the govt doesn't give much thought to folks that are colorblind.

You think that's bad I am a mechanic and have to deal with automotive wiring, color coded wires. If I get in a jam I need to have someone else come over and tell me what color this or that wire is.

Hey, I goofed on the green (ground) and red (hot) on a portable generator. One TV, one fax machine, a furnace repair, and probably a few other things I forgot. LOL!

Shades of green and red are a killer for me also.

Thanks for the link.
Seems sometimes like everything is color coded. You learn to work around it most times. My son and wife aren't color blind so they help me out a lot. I can tell some colors but extremely light or dark shades of red, brown and green are indistinguishable.
It's a modern day handicap, especially when I'm looking at lures. I keep calling my son over to ask him what color lure that is or do we have that color yet? I wonder if fish have that problem?

I'm blue-green-gray color blind and my wife has to pick out clothes for me. I get some funny stares from time to time when I describe things.

I can understand what your saying about wires and not being able to see what is what. I work in heavy equipment and some manufacturers think black wires are the best thing to use.

Nothing like a harness with 20-30 wires and they are the same.
