Default Looking forward to ice fishing?

I love open water fishing in spring and fall, but in the mid summer I find myself dreaming of ice fishing. I'm almost to the point where I like ice fishing better than open water. Is it just me?

I like them both, but this summer has been brutal with the heat. Bring on the ice!

Check the battery in your flasher and make sure it's charged. I checked mine and it was down to 10%. Disconnect the wires from the battery during the off season.

I prefer ice fishing as well. I just hope we get water levels back to somewhat normal before the water firms up. I like to spend as much time on the ice as possible....if I had a big wheelhouse there's a good chance I'd live out there all winter....taking a wet wipe bath daily of course.

Not at all. I forgot how much I dislike summer and the misery it brings with this oppressive heat. Once I sold my boat it didn't take long to remember. Come on winter.

It's a good idea to start up your power auger mid summer and let it run for a few minutes also add a little SeaFoam to the gas.

Or once every 2 weeks if you just want to feel it running.

Is it weird that I fire mine up not just to make sure it's in good working order but because I love the smell of two stroke?
