Default Mille Lacs???

Heading up to mille Lacs Aug. 5-7th. Staying at red door. I was wondering if anybody has any fishing info. Crankbaits, crawler harness, jigging etc....colors, depths, any advice would help. This will be my first time going to Mille Lacs.

Also I'm sure you've been to their website, where they update their "Fishing Report" on a weekly basis.

Good luck on your trip!

launched out of the red door saturday. finding fish was easy (as always on mille lacs...) finding keepers, different story. Fish will be on the edges of the flats. I didn't have to go any further than resort flat to catch fish. marked fish on top of the flats, but the edges were much more productive. I was out for a couple hours and got nothing but slot fish. I saw no fewer than 50 floaters, pretty sad.

here's a short vid running out to the flats from red door and a few of the big gals we got.
