Default yes i am an idiot

question for the group. So i was flying along this weekend and my sunglasses flew off my head and into the water. Normally not a big deal. But i was wearing sunglasses that are worth $6000.00. Does boat insurance cover this or does vehicle insurance cover this. OR am I SOL.

Are you saying 6 Thousand? If you can afford buy 6k sunglasses than you can afford to loose 6k sunglasses.

Doubt they will be covered. How do you spend $6,000 on sunglasses?

Yes... you ARE an idiot. But not for losing your sunglasses..... for BUYING $6000 SUNGLASSES IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I don't care if it WAS a typo and they were only $600.... you're still an idiot! Unless those sunglasses can see into the future and pick out your winning lottery ticket numbers.... I can't see how they could be worth that much.

I have to believe he meant $600. I know if my business partner wasn't an optomatrist my Oakley perscriptions would be about that. Lots of mark up in that industry. $6000 has to be mistyped. Say it ain't so Fish02

It may not be a typo, I searched and there are lots of 6k and up sunglasses for celebrities and other frugal bargain shoppers, but we will not know unless the OP decides to actually come back and reply to the thread that he started. I agree even if he meant $600 wow what a joke I have a nice pair of prescription Oakleys and they are still half that.

I wear $5 walmart Berkley sunglasses and get bent out of shape when I break or lose those. Guess I need to keep that in perspective.

I would assume that would require a jewelry type rider on your insurance. (standard insurance I would not expect to cover it.)

As far as the cost goes - all I can say is you and I have vastly different priorities....
