Been runnin spinner/worms and spinner/gulp produced a few nice size but not even close to the numbers it was last time we were up here anybody have any better luck? we have two more days tomorrow heading up to little bend to try and find them. Can't believe it's just us but maybe it is!

Default baitfish

Some of the local guides are saying that they are seeing more clouds of bait on their graphs. I hope that is the case. Water temps have probably driven the fish to the deeper water as well. I know some of the recent tourneys had guys fishing out to 50 feet.

Default Oahe

They are dropping the water, it supposed to go down a foot a week for another 3 to 4 weeks. I would do nothing but fish the flats with live bait or troll plugs thru suspended fish from. If given the choice I would not fish north of Peoria flats right now.
If I had to put out of little bend I would try stop by fantasy island...if they are there you can catch them anyway you want.

40-50 FOW along the outside edge of Pieoria Flats, 30-50 FOW by snake creek mailn lake points and if you are by the dam, we had luck at 40-70 FOW. Pulling crawler harnesses on 4 ounce bottom bouncers at 1.2 - 1.4 mph.

There are a lot of bait fish along the outside edge of Pieoria flats (that was with a SE wind) and we also marked several large bait balls suspended in deep water near the dam. Some Salmon fishermen reported catching walleye 90-100 feet deep over 140+ FOW as some of the bait is suspended deep.

We didn't catch big numbers of fish by any means but we were able to get our limit and kept all fish that came out of the 50+ FOW.

Also keep in mind the HUGE harvest that has happened this year and last for that matter, i personally dont think oahe can keep putting out numbers and size that it has the last couple years. The SD GFP is forcasting like 2 million walleyes will be harvested this year, that a mind boggling number of fish.

Seems like the pike are having a hay day feasting on the walleye too. Many time pike would hit the walleye as we were bringing them in, and several others were full of bite marks and gashes.

Default Pike

A couple of weeks ago I cleaned about a 15 pound pike that had a 13 to 14 inch walleye whole in it's stomach.
