Any problem running different sized batteries together for 24vt? Such as one group 27 and one group 29?
Thanks! |

I am an electrician an you are asking for problems unless both batteries are the same type/voltage i wouldn't chance it.

Not a good idea. Matching batteries will give the most reliability and best performance. Not only battery size, but also age and manufacturer should be the same.

It would work, but you would be limited to the capacity of the smaller battery. As soon as that one was discharged you would be down to 12V and starting to charge the smaller one in reverse.
Replacing one battery in a pair is essentially the same thing as the older battery would have less capacity than the newer one. Jerry |

size difference between 27 and 29 is very small maybe few plates I certainly would run this setup but not the preffered method if I was shopping new batts. You try run same condition batts, same size batts. Newer batteries will drain to older ones. Obviously we are talking about same voltage. 27 to 29 is short term, long term something bad could happen.
