Default 175 mercury verado

I have a chance to buy a Lund 186 GL. One has the pro xs 175 the other has a 175 verado. I'm a little nervouse about a super charged motor. Any insight would be helpful. I don't troll a lot mostly go from fish hole to fish hole and pulling the kids on skis..

I had the same choice to make this year. I bought a new 2012 Lund Tyee 186 GL this year with a 175 Verado on it and its been great so far. (didn't want to wait) It replaced a 2008 Crestliner sportfish and its night and day better. Love my new boat.

Purchased a new Tyee 1850 with the Verado on it - love the power, the look, and the smooth quiet of this motor!

My buddy has had a 200 VRod on his Pro V since 2009 (new) without any problems. The decision would be a no-brainer for me (VRod all the way), but it's not my boat. I would pick several other engines before I would choose an optimax, but I'm the kind of guy who like quiet motors. There are plenty others here who love their optimaxes and I'm not tryin to bust their chops, I just don't care for them at all (the motor, that is). Good luck.

Default Verado for me!!

I'll have a 175 Verado hanging on the back of an 1860 Angler come spring!! Love the quiet, smooth engine and the digital throttle and shifting is amazingly smooth and responsive. Everyone uses a boat a little different, and have different needs, the Optimax ProXS is a sweet motor, but the Verado is the only way to go for me.

Default Verado

Looks like you have your answer. I purchased a 2010 Pro Guide this spring with a 150 Verado. Couldnt be more pleased, Great looking motor with very good performance. Hole shot is unreal and top speed is great. I dont see myself ever running anything but a Verado
