Default trolling motor shaft length for a 1750 crestliner fishhawk

Just boat a 2000 crestliner fishhawk and replacing the trolling motor. What length shaft are people using on them. I do fish heavy water sometimes(looking at a minnkota 70 or 80 lb terranova ipilot)

Default Shaft Legth

I would vote for the 60 inch Terrova on that rig. I would hold off till dec to get the i-link version.

60inch is the only way to go.....
In my opinion this is a universal answer on any deep V aluminum or glass boat.

Default 60"

60" 80 lb. Terrova without a doubt. iPilot Link only works with Humminbird, I'm just guessing, but I think it will cost about $350 more than the current Terrova w/iPilot. The stand alone iPilot is $450 and the new iPilot Link is $800, $800 - $450 = $350.

I'm going to have to look into the Terrova since they seem so popular. I switched from a Powerdrive, to a Motorguide Tour series with cable steer.

I like the direct link to boat control with the cable steer, and especially the stow/deploy of this type of mount.

Maybe the features available in the Terrova will make it worth switching

Default terrova 80 with Ipilot 60 inch shaft

The only way to go . Handles everything I throw at it. Fish the detroit river heavy in the spring lasts all day any condition. The Ipilot is great for setting up tracks , speed, also the gps n is nice for hands free.

Default 54 inch shaft is perfect for 1600,1700 models

1750 will work with 48 but 54 will work better now 60inch I am not so sure it's needed. Minimum get 55pound thrust or higher Ipilot motor. If you are cheap like me saving $125 for battery, $350 for 70pound motor I am happy with my lighter setup. Have not priced terrova but suspect it's another $250. What is ipilot link lol?
