Default Arnesons

For top notch service and quality, Arnesons Resort would get my vote. They may be a little more expensive but their quality is second to none.

My second choice would be Bob's.

Default Me too

I have never been up/over there but will be there fishing on Sat and Sunday. I was thinking of booking an ice trip for a least 4. I was told by many that sleepers were not a good idea because the night bite was poor and you'll miss the evenings entertainment. No? Also I have heard great things about Arnesons. I am interested in other resorts as well. How much of a price difference are we talking? This weekend I'll be at Wheeler's Point Resort. Any reviews?

I'll second Arnesens, I love tyhat place. Although, I will try to steer you away from the sleeper as the fishing at night isnt nearly as good as a warm shower and listening to the Top Kat Karaoke at the lodge.

Any eelpout I've caught haven't been at night and not on purpose. Never eaten it but if done right it's supposed to be good. We typically try to be out and setup by 8:00am and start getting ready to leave at 4:30pm. The walleye bite does pretty much start when the sun comes over the horizon and quits when it goes below. Usually use one dead stick and jig with the other. Lindy flyer, in glow red with minnow head or tail. Same with gold swedish pimple. Typically use grass shiners.

I usually leave the cabin by 630 and be fishing shortly after 7 then off the fish by 530
