This set up came on my new boat along with the blocks to prevent going side to side. Much better then the old school bar!!

Rubber blocks on your steering arm to keep the motor straight.

how do you consider this a "transom saver" vs a motor support like it says it is? Does this support not rest or support the motor against the transom?

I think a better definition of those would be:

Tilt/Trim Hydraulic Savers

Default Not a transom saver!

I do like the product, but it's not a transom saver, I'd call it a trim & tilt saver. In no way does it take any weight off of the transom of the boat. The only way to do that is with the one's that connect the motor to the trailer.
