Correct .... I got one with my new boat from Yamaha ..... I threw it in the trash. I just use a good real transom saver.

Yep.

Your motor's weight is still bouncing up and down on the transom with that setup.

Not saying this device doesn't have bennies... But to protect my transom (while on the road) I will still use the old reliable and the device that fully supports the motor to the trailer and not resting the motor on the transom like this thing does... Come on.... Think about it people.

well of course Yamahas like them!!! It protects the hyds on their motors!!! There is no disputing that... But the pressure is still placed on the exact same place on the transom. The wedge merely locks up the hyds.

I dont know why this is so hard to grasp!!!
