So then that means prices SHOULD be going down for aluminum boats.

Because labor costs are sure not going up, only down.

Triton aluminum boats were being made down south somewhere, but they had so many quality issues that they moved the operation to Minnesota. Being a Brunswick company at that time they had Crestliner employees train Triton employees on how to weld aluminum.

Ranger did not buy Triton, P.E. Equity did. They bought Ranger, Triton, Stratos, Champion and a couple of others. Most of these boats are being built in Flippin now.

When Ranger had the aluminum line, the hulls were built by Crestliner, but the boats were finished off in Flippin. They were a much nicer boat package than the Crestliner.

As I recall from a short news blast a few of weeks ago about the new aluminum facility in Flippin, the name SeaArk was mentioned in the message. SeaArk makes a super aluminum boat. They supply the US Coast Guard with some S&R boats. So if true maybe SeaArk will supply the hulls to Ranger's facility where Ranger will "complete" the manufacturing, i.e paint, interiors etc. I have done a search of the largest newspaper in the area, and they would be the place to look, but there are no articles on this subject. Even Ranger's website of news releases is void of the subject. So ......

That would be awesome if SeaArk does that. I have been looking real hard at their aluminum bass boats anyway.
