Bitter Lake

Does anyone have a report from bitter lake S.D. heading up sat. morning with a friend from arkansas. I'm hearing the bite is good but thats it. Thanks

not sure on the specifics, but i do know bitter has been producing as of very recent. should be a good time to go

Was there 2 weeks ago and filled a nice limit. Bottom bouncers and hammered gold or silver spinners did the best. Stay just to the outside of the weeds in roughly 9-12 FOW. Productive spots change daily, so move til you start getting consistent bites.

Which direction u coming in from? you might want to try the NEW dock on the west side now- it is about 5 miles round about way from waubay.... mostly gravel but not many people know yet, so that may be helpful. The bite is on the west side anyway.

Thanks for the heads up, I goggle mapped bitter and could not see any ramp type location on the west side are thier any hwy numbers I could look for?

It won't be on google.. The ramp was just put in this week.

U have to go into waubay and then on the south end of town like a mile south and west and then south... I have not been up there to the dock on the west side so I can't say directions but follow the boats as it will be busy with locals I'd assume.

Might not be as bad as you think. Btwn thie new ramp and a few boats putting in at the Bitter Lake Resort site it could be spread out a little. There is also another lake that opened up recently that is getting alot of attention. I wouldn't be too worried about it.
