Another factor in the minus column for phone calls is my impatience. If I don't reach a livin', breathin' human bean after I've called a couple of times, there probably won't be a third call.

Screen me if you want, but when you do, you build a barrier to communication.

If your having trouble you can call me I'll talk to anyone!I agree that most items here on WC's Swap board do not require a call.I have purchased many things from WC and have talked to some of the sellers at their request.Most of our communication has been electronic.If I want what you got and you want me to call you I'm ok with that.I guess in this day and age communication is a varied thing with texting,twitter,email,pm's,chat sites........ect.With so many new way's the old ways are forgotten.Just last night I was sending smoke signals to my buddy up the street he texted me and said my house was on fire.

I prefer the phone calls. Get to the point and answer all questions in one call. They either want it or they don't.

Here's the phone call, " is it still for sale?', "ya", "where are you at?", "such and such address", "can I come look at it", "yea I'll be home at 5:00pm", "do you need directions?", "no I think I know where you are", "ok bring cash", "see ya latter" 30 second phone call.

That is a true story.

I don't call and I don't reply to adds without a location.

I rarely buy stuff from private parties that needs to be shipped, too many chances of mistakes, missed addresses, lost in shipment, etc.

You want me to call for a meet, sure that would work, but we'll arrange it by email.
