Any first hand reviews out there? Crazy displacement for a 150HP, torque must be great!

Ok, We have sold probably 20 or 30 of these, the only thing we have is the Control box jumping out of gear when using a ALuminum prop, Merc recommends ONLY Stainless steel, something about the weight of the prop and the Super Tight tolerances in the Lower Unit.....KILLER MOTOR, 54mph on 1775 Pro V IFS, thats with a 9.9 kicker and fully tourney load

Is Mercury finally making enough of them so you can actually order a boat with that motor and expect to get it within 6 months?
In March it was a 5 month wait.

Got mine in a week.

I've got about 10 hours on it. Running awesome, only issue has been trim gauge not working. Dealer has ordered an adapter that's supposed to fix the problem.

52 mph on a 17' crestliner two adults, full tank of gas, no fishing gear. Hole shot is a little slow, I'm about to try a different prop.

That's what it's rated for,
Whatever the little yellow tag has listed as max HP is what I'm gonna run, if not your shooting yourself in the foot.

Almost 5 months of use on mine, so far no problems at all. Dealer upgraded me to Flo-Torq4 hub. Installed the trim adaptor myself, easy to do. Most of my use has been midrange rpms on the river and I love the fuel economy and quietness. Idle is smooth, hole shot and WOT are better than expected (stock aluminum prop). WOT with full tank gas, 2 adults, and all gear is 46-48 mph.

That is a crazy top speed. I have not read anywhere about the stainless thing, where did you hear about that? Picking mine up tomorrow and I'm running it on the same boat as you. If I get 54 mph I will be pumped. Going to run a 19p tempest
