Default +20

The +20 method will hold up between speeds of 1.7-2.2 that I am aware of... I've never really tried any faster or slower than that. I've tested this by "bottoming out" cranks when I was bored to guage accuracy, and it is incredibly accurate (if your linecounters are right and you are using line that matches the PT dive curve standard .013" diameter.) However, beware... the Reef Runners I have will start to blow out to one side at speeds beyond 1.8, and need proper tuning. I don't want to take the time on the water to do this... that's why I like those Cabelas Walleye Runners.

Just ordered some reef runners from cabelas and have a bunch of cotton cordell #5 s and some random thunder sticks. Thanks a lot it helps quite a bit. Slow as I can get my big motor is 2 if I fill live well and drop the trolling motor.

Nitecrawler, what do they call those cabelas walleye plugs? Flicker Shad or walleye runners?
I am tired of the reef runners (800's) and having to fix them straight out of the packaging because they don't run true then if I catch a fish, having to re-fix the plug once again! I stopped buying them now and will just get thundersticks, renoskys, and bangos.

Default Cabelas Walleye Runners

Cabelas calls them "Walleye Runners"... they are the same shape, size, action, and dive curve as a Reef Runner 800. The Cabelas "Mini Walleye Runners" are the same as a Reef Runner 600 series bait. Some people say that they're garbage, but they catch fish for me. The hooks aren't as good as the Reef Runner Triple Grip stock hooks, but that can be changed easily enough if you so desire. You can usually find them in the Bargain Cave at a great price too.
I only use Reef Runners when the fish are picky as to what colors they want. There's no denying that Reef Runner definitely has a great color assortment of cranks.

I actually just finished putting an order in on them and the hds cranks. Yea I have quite a few RR's & their a pita tuning all the time. Downside is they have many flavors that other cranks don't come in. Gator bait has been a hot 1 this season & grape ape 2nd.
