Default power tech PTR3 for Suzuki?

I have a 18.5 ft Lund fisherman with a Suzuki DF 115. I tried a a solas amita 4 13.25 x 19 that I added 2 inches cup to the trailing edge to keep it right at 6000 WOT and it gets 37.9 mph. I have 2 Suzuk aluminum props, a 14 x23 aluminum- 5600 rpm GPS speed 41.8 mph and Suzuki 14 x19 aluminum that I am running right now, 6200 rpms, , GPS speed 38.9 mph but both of these props would blow out while turning or rough water. I like the Solas amita but when it gets rough it doesn't handle well. If I try and slow down I lose plane and start bouncing up and down and if I increase my speed to get on plane It can be a rough ride.

I would like something to help me ride better in rough water and stop the porposing(its not major) I also have a SE 300 foil, with it and the 14x 19 suzuki my hole shot is 8 secs.

I was thinking of trying a PTR3 18 pitch.

Will this get me in the right RPM range?

I read that there is a lot of lift with this prop, will it be too much for my set up?

will it help with hole shot and maintain or increase my speed?

thanks

DH,
Try the Suzuki 18 or 20 pitch stainless - depending on your load.
The Suzuki props generally work really well on the Suzuki motors.

For a setup like yours I would run a 4 blade to help plane it out, it will be alittle slower topend but you'll find it will work good. It will stay on plane at a lower speed and help get rid of the porpoising.

Thanks Propman

Would you stick with the PTR4 or another model? Should I try an 18 or 19 pitch?

Would the PTR3 give be better holeshote than the stock Suzuki aluminum?

thanks
