1. We may be overlooking the simpliest temporary fix. If your 7 can pick up your 5, just move the transducer cable to the 5. There is no performance loss.
2. If the 7 picks up the 5 then both ethernet ports are working and the ethernet cable is working. 3. You may want to go over to BBCboards.net under the Lowrance section and post something with Jason Gilstrap's name in the title. He is a Lowrance Pro that has been helpful to many.

Make sure that "network sonar" is enabled on the 5 and that the sonar "source" is set to "this unit".

Not sure if this would have made an issue or not BUT....
My hds 7 had the oldest app/update it was like 3.0 or something. My HDS 5 that I just got back from Lowrance had 4.0 and I just put the 4.1 on both units, I will replug them all in tomorrow when I have more time and see if the ethernet will work. |
