Default Storing sweet corn

I need to keep some corn fresh for a couple of days, in your opinion, do you keep it out of the refrigerator or in?
Thanks

Cold is better, keeps the sugars from turning to starch.

Absolutely keep it cold, for the reason stated above. The extra-sweet varieties grown today will keep flavor in cold storage longer than the old traditional varieties, but both kinds are still grown and sold. Check the variety of what you buy.

When my Dad grew sweet corn commercially, we'd pick in the early morning and ice the corn down immediately when we got back to the market.

Hump,
Also do not husk the corn until just before you cook it. The husk will help keep it fresh.

Tub of water in the fridge or on ice with husks on ... best way to store it IMO.

Hopefully you can buy corn that was picked the same day you buy it.

If the kernels are "denting" already when you buy it the storage time will be reduced considerably. Probably would pass at that point.

When we used to can corn we always insured it was picked the same day we processed it.

Cold is the best, but, it still loses flavor too fast. Buy it, and eat it, as soon as possible.
