Default LOTW walleye bite heating up

Was out on LOTW (Ptarmigan Bay) in Ontario yesterday with my son and a buddy and we caught well over 70 walleyes. Most were over the 18" mark (can only keep one over 18") but still managed to keep our limit of eaters and a few for a shore lunch. My biggest was 24" and my son Colin caught a whopper at 27.5". Most were caught on crawler harness/spin n glow combo pulled behind bottom bouncers. Went through 5 dozen crawlers and also caught quite a few on plastics. Also caught 15 smallies and 3 big pike, it was a great day. Now just have to work 5 days before heading back next weekend, dang work!!!

The main lake on Minn side is very good now. Reefs or just trolling the main basin is good. Lot of slot fish being caught with a ton of 16-18 in fish also. Downriggers or spinners and crawlers are best now. AIM tourny just finished last weekend with some pretty impressive numbers.
