Default guides near LaCrosse WI?

Looking to try ice fishing in or around LaCrosse, WI in February...suggestions or guide recommendations?

Lots of good places in the Lacrosse area, Schafer's Landing is a spot where a lot of people go on. If I'm free when you want to fish I would be glad to fish with you. I have only fished the area for 1 year but have done ok.

Check out lake-link.com and read the genoa Wisconsin fishing reports for Ted Peck (Captain Ted). He guides pools 8,9, and 10 of the Mississippi.

Can you actually ice fish on the Mississippi? for walleye?

Lots of great backwaters spots where you can get into a lot of nice fish. I grew up fishing pool 6, and the fishing can be fantastic.

But you're right, you can't really fish the ends of wingdams...

i ice fish the main channel for walleye and sauger. usually up by the dams. we do very good.

I sure do miss fishing up at Lake Onalaska! Haven't been there in years and probably never will again. I'm not sure I will be able to stay away from Cassville for too long though!
