Lots of good places in the Lacrosse area, Schafer's Landing is a spot where a lot of people go on. If I'm free when you want to fish I would be glad to fish with you. I have only fished the area for 1 year but have done ok.

Lots of great backwaters spots where you can get into a lot of nice fish. I grew up fishing pool 6, and the fishing can be fantastic.
But you're right, you can't really fish the ends of wingdams...

i ice fish the main channel for walleye and sauger. usually up by the dams. we do very good.

I sure do miss fishing up at Lake Onalaska! Haven't been there in years and probably never will again. I'm not sure I will be able to stay away from Cassville for too long though!
