platte area laborday weekend
man is it slow. fished mornings and only caught 2 keepers w four guys fishing. caught about 8 total from 60 to 30fow. caught alot of channels and skipjacks too. talked to a guy who has been there all week and said he only caught 1 keeper a day. he also said very slow. only seen half dozon or so boats fishing also. i wander if its gonna pick up in two weeks or not, suppost to go back in two but dont think its gonna pick up enough by then. oh well it was still fun. anybody else have much luck on francis?

Maybe you should have been in around 20 fow.

Yes, but we were down river a few miles. We only had night crawlers but people with minnows did better than we did. I will have minnows this weekend also.

It'll pick up...the fish are starting to move north again and getting the feed bags on. There's a lot of bait in the water but we've still been doing really well. Hope to get out one more time before hunting season really kicks in.
