I picked up a factory reconditioned one from Hummingbird for $59.00 on closeout (w/universal transducer).
I bought it for a certain ice fishing application because of size and power consumption but somehow it ended up on the console of the boat with transducer on bow mount. I like it better than a Zercom Colorpoint flasher I had set up the same way on the boat. They work well for ice fishing. It does the job about as well as any basic flasher on the boat. The depth numbers/scale are on the small side and the back light is just adequate. Instead of the flasher display being lite, there is a backlite. If your fishing with it right it front of you it's ok, but for me the depth numbers are too small to read when up and about especially at night (contour trolling). Sensitivity/target separation is fine. Hope this helps, jc |
