Went fishing with Fish'n Fool aka Jim Kissinger and Kris Luloff and Denny Fox today. We managed to pull in quite the haul. 70 fish and almost as many missed. All were chunky little 16-17 inch fish but there were a couple that were bigger, and boy did they put up a good fight!!
The weather was great..chilly in the morning, but the wind was a mild NW wind. The water is low, do not launch at the fairgrounds. The water is only a foot and a half deep there. We launched out of Voyager Park. Still good there.
We were using 3/8 oz. orange and yellow jigs tipped with medium fatheads, and Zipps!! We fished from 8:30 am till 3pm. What a day...it was fun fun fun!!

Juls
p.s. I must mention that my parnter, although only caught 4 of the total catch, did manage to catch the biggest one of the day!! http://www.walleyecentral.com/dcf/Images/wink.gif
Sorry Kris, had to say that..heheheheheheh

Juls, were you part of the group floating over the 27' hole off Voyager? I was fishing the rapids and trolling in a Blue Champion. I see you posting all the time, too bad I didn't get to meet your group

Largest was a 5# picked up by the pilings just above the launch. I figured I'd better get out of the way of the folks in the tracker in that I kinda ended up trolling underneath them due to a snag!!! They got caught up in my mess, but I got to look at their bait, sneaky huh? I have not been able to break that 5# barrier in my 3 trips up there in the last three weeks. Hope the weather holds out. For what it is worth, it seemed the warrior was being cleary outfished by the tracher;);). Hope we can get a few more days in up there b4 the iceman cometh.
See ya,
Jim

Default re:zips

I believe they are referring to a lure called Mr. Zip, which is a metal blade bait like a heddon sonar.
