Huron- walleye
Yesterday the boaters did great as most fishermen did get a good number of fish during the day, the night bite was good to super depending on where you were and what you were using as well as the super slow speed that was needed to work. the bite was light and many fish were getting off. so keep your hooks extra sharp. the hot spot was the 27.7/26 lines during the day and also at night. there were only a couple of boats that stayed and i was told they caught many fish. the boaters who were in close got a good number of fish too, many good fish from 5 pounds to 10 and better. the husky jerks androgues were the ticket too, some were also caught on the ripsticks. run them from 40 to 70 foot behind the small boards at a speed of .5 mph to 1.1mph and you should be in business. make sure that you have an extra net you will probably need it. during the day run the lures a little deeper(10 to 16 foot down)and at night keep the lures in the top 8 foot of water. colors were-metalic watermelon, metalic rainbow and blue/chrome(reefrunners/ripsticks) at night the husky jerks and rogues in the same colors. good luck and good fishin. if you need more information give me a call at 1-888-855-9032, ask for denny. 9am to 6pm daily, fridays till 7:30pm sundays till 2pm.
